We’re continuing to make property inspections faster, simpler and more flexible for teams using Inspection Express. The latest October Inspection Express updates bring improvements to 360AI Lightning, photo capture, AI functionality, specialised property inspections and the Admin Portal.
To make it easier to see what’s changed, we’ve separated the latest updates between the Inspection Express app and the Admin Portal.
What’s new in the Inspection Express app
Further 360AI Lightning improvements
We’ve made another improvement to the 360AI Lightning workflow.
When you open the photo drawer from inside the camera, the app will now automatically scroll to the last photo you captured. This makes it easier to check your latest image and continue your inspection without scrolling through previously captured photos.
Give AI comment feedback in the app
You can now provide feedback on AI-generated comments directly from the Inspection Express app.
This makes it easier to share feedback while you’re already working through an inspection and helps us continue improving the AI experience.
Full-sized Keyform photos
The Inspection Express app now supports full-sized Keyform photos, giving teams more flexibility when capturing important key information during an Entry inspection.
Faster photo capture
You may notice that photos can now be captured more quickly, particularly on older devices.
We’ve improved photo-taking performance to help inspections flow more smoothly from one area of the property to the next.
Smoother paired Exit inspection workflows
When copying comments and photos from a previous paired Exit inspection, Inspection Express will now default to “Copy exit photos only”.
This should make the process smoother when you only need the previous Exit photos. However, you can still choose to copy both Entry and Exit photos when required.
More flexibility for short-term rentals
For accounts managing short-term rentals, we can now enable the ability to create a paired Exit inspection when the associated Entry report is less than seven days old.

Important iOS 17 support update
Inspection Express will stop supporting iOS 17 from 31 December 2026.
From 1 January 2027, devices will need to run iOS 18 or later to continue using the Inspection Express app.
If your team currently uses devices running iOS 17, we recommend checking and updating them before the end of the year.
What’s new in the Admin Portal
Manage Keyform photos and notes from the web
The Keyform tab is now available for Entry inspections in the Admin Portal.
You can add and edit Keyform photos and notes directly from the web, giving teams another way to manage inspection information without needing to return to the mobile app.
Continued AI comment improvements
We’ve continued improving our AI comments to make the experience even more useful for Property Managers completing and managing inspection reports.
These ongoing improvements form part of the wider October Inspection Express updates across the platform.
Updated NSW lease and condition report
For our NSW customers, we’ve updated the NSW lease and NSW condition report in line with legislation changes.
These updates ensure the relevant documents available through Inspection Express reflect the updated requirements for NSW property management teams. Read more →
Updates available across the app and Admin Portal
Retirement village property inspections
Inspection Express now supports inspections for retirement village properties in Victoria.
This includes specialised reporting, condition reports and PLCRs designed to support the specific requirements of Victorian retirement village properties.
Please note: Retirement village property inspections and reports are currently available in Victoria only.

Automatic commercial property layouts
Creating a new commercial property is now simpler.
When you create a commercial property in either the Inspection Express app or Admin Portal, the commercial property layout will automatically be applied.
This removes an additional setup step and helps ensure the correct property structure is ready from the beginning.
Making everyday inspections easier
From faster photo capture and further 360AI Lightning improvements to expanded Keyform functionality and support for additional property types, the October Inspection Express updates are designed to make everyday inspection workflows simpler.
We’ll continue refining both the app and Admin Portal to help Property Managers reduce repetitive tasks and keep inspections moving efficiently.
